While looking at a red wine in a glass tilt the glass at about 30-40 degree angle, if you see a orangish color on the surface of the wine where the wine and glass meet, then it is considered an old wine. The darker the orange the older the wine. This wine is a typical Sangiovese. Nothing to special about this wine. Great balance of flavor and tannins. Very simplex taste and finish. The combination of spice and tannins make for a medium length finish of about 7-8 seconds. If trying to venture into Italian Sangiovese wines this is a great starter. Simplex, dry, and full flavor typical of this style. By Italian IGT regulations this wine is considered a Super Tuscan wine. This wine is available by order at Eastman Party Store for under $20.
