I tried to do some research and find out what exactly the varietal(s) make up this wine. I could find nothing from the winery itself. I did find another review of a highly prestigious taster, they said this wine is 100% Grenache aged on the skins for 24 hours. Now I don't mean to go against this review but I do believe that this wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is very fruitful both on the nose and palate. Having tasted peach and melon, is why I believe Pinot Gris is present. Strawberry, cherry and little spice are common traits of Grenache. The Grenache flavors were not overwhelming because of the little time spent on the skins. The is a more fuller body wine with great complexity and dryness. For the price of $14.99 this is a GREAT VALUE. Available by order from Eastman Party Store.
